Ok - so I'm looking for new movies for my Netflix subscription (that and just something to put up on the forum)!

I saw Noise with Tim Robbins this last weekend and loved it.  Tim plays a man in love with his hometown, New York City, but is driven almost insane by the constant noise and lack of caring. He finally takes matters into his own hands and becomes "The Rectifier", taking on every schmuck who ignores his own car alarm.

It kind of reminded me of "Falling Down" with Michael Douglas back in the early 90's.  If you've ever had that fantasy of taking matters into your own hands and 'damning the torpedos', this may be one to watch.

"Meet Dave" with Will Farrel is very good.  I also like "Little Voice".

"Little Voice is funny, sad, and very British.  The girl playing Little Voice is a great singer.

I want to see August Rush.  Everyone says great or must see.

I watch movies on-line at watchmovies.net

It's free and they have a library of 10,000 or so movies.  You get user comments on the movies and many movies are on the site before they are released to the public.

Take a look.  I am atwood48 on the site.  You can see my movie lists.

Thanks - I'll have to try that site out.  It's actually watch-movies.net, right?

I just saw Apocalypto and War, Inc. this past week.  Both were very good.

Apocalypto is about a Central American Mayan native and the trials he goes through when his village is ravaged by another waring tribe.

War, Inc. is kind of a political satire on the Middle East crisis.  Even with the overwhelming political overtones, John Cusack still does a great job playing an assassin for hire.

Just re-watched some great classics this last weekend.  A few Steve martin movies:

Sgt Bilko, My Blue Heaven, The Man with Two Brains, and Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid.

I love how he doesn't swear in his movies, except for maybe once.  Greatest line from The Man with Two Brains - "I couldn't f**k a gorilla!!"
