At the Topeka Public Library today I meet a young woman and her sixteen month old child - Malachi.

I thought Malachi was a powerful name for a child.  Had to look it up on the internet.

Malachi means my messenger and he was the last of the twelve minor prophets.  Wrote the last book of the Old Testament.

Today's children have some unusual names.  Names I have heard recently are  Sylk,  DaVonn, and Nickee.

What happened to Mary, or John, or Abraham, or David?

I wanted to be Harley but I got Toby.  John Harley would have been good.  I will use it antway.

Why not John or Sam or James?  Why Tonto?
