New to Topeka.

I moved from the east coast to Topeka in early June.  I will share with you how I see Topeka - the good, the bad , the unusual and the ordinary.

 

First impressions:  Greener than I thought it would be - lots of parks and trees.

Lots of tattoos and motorcycles.  No major traffic problems - easy to get from place to place.  I have seen many short people and little people.  Have seen no real gangsters.

You could be right, Bigtx.  The government has been trying for years to get more intelligent people into the country for various reasons.  You see, shorter people are smarter.  Well, one reason they have to be naturally smarter to keep from being stepped on and to figure out how to get the jars off the top shelves.  The other reason is that their brains are larger than a taller person's brain.  The cause of that is that their lungs and heart are closer to their brains.  Therefore, the brain is more oxygenated and has better circulation which increases grey matter.  True.  There was a very extensive research on this done at Cornell in Syracuse, NY by Dr. Nixon, the Oblomotomist Professor.  Documented.

One of my favorite places in Topeka is Tiltons Market at 6th and Clay.  Great prices on dented and closeout items.  Little Debbie cakes at half price - watch that Little Debbie, she is bad for you.

 

Yesterday I got 8 ounce NY Strip Steaks for $1.79 each. 

 

You never know what goodies they will have from day to day.

Dear Willin,

When I moved from Texas (where they grow everything big) to South Carolina I noticed that every one seemed so much shorter than I am @ 5' 4" or at least as tall as I am.  Do you think this a conspiracy?  Maybe the government knew all short or little people were going to be born in these states.  Do you think it has to do with the environment or the diet?  I don't know but it is strange is it not?
